This incident resulted in the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
